Ad essere onesti, siamo arrivati a mangiare qui all’Ultimo Borgo solo per caso.
Stavamo cercando un ristorante raffinato, non troppo lontano dalla città, con un’area all’aperto dove potevamo fare una passeggiata. Google Maps ci ha consigliato questo posto.
Il ristorante Ultimo Borgo fa parte di questa antica Cascina del ‘700 molto ben ristrutturata. Ora ospita sia il ristorante che un hotel, ma sono disponibili solo poche camere. La parte più bella è l’area pratica del Golf club che circonda tutta la cascina.
Per quanto riguarda il ristorante, nella foto c’è una delle nostre scelte come secondo: è un maialino croccante cotto lentamente, con verdure grigliate su una riduzione di mirto. Molto saporito!
Avevamo preso come antipasto la patata salata con fonduta di Camembert con qualche assaggio di affettati. L’esperienza complessiva è stata soddisfacente, dessert incluso.
Suggerimento: si può pranzare sia all’interno che all’esterno in questo splendido cortile centrale, ideale per famiglie con bambini o per mamme con un nuovo nato per passeggiare con il passeggino.
Molto consigliato per un pranzo domenicale semplice ma piacevole in una giornata di sole primaverile.

Being honest, we happened to have lunch here just by chance.
We were looking for a fine restaurant, not too far from the city, with an outdoor area were we could have a walk. Google Maps recommended this place.
The Ultimo Borgo restaurant is indeed part of this ‘700 old Cascina very well restructured. Now it hosts both the restaurant and an Hotel with just a few rooms. Nicest part is that all around the cascina there is the Golf club practice area.
As for the Restaurant, in the picture there is one of our choice as second course: it’s a slowly cooked crispy pork, with veggies on a reduction of Myrtle. Very tasty!
We had also as a starter the Salty potato with fondue of Camembert coming with a few slides of two different hams. The overall food experience was satisfying, desserts included
Tip: You can get served your meal both inside or outside in this beautiful central courtyard, ideal for families with kids or for moms with new born for walking around with the stroller.
Very recommended for a simple but enjoyable Sunday lunch on a sunny spring day.
